Translation — Tafsir
Word Meanings:
- Burrizat (بُرِّزَتْ): Made manifest, brought forth, or exposed openly.
- Al-Jaheem (الْجَحِيمُ): The blazing Fire of Hell.
- Li man yara (لِمَن يَرَى): For anyone who sees — i.e., for every onlooker, visible to all.
Explanation of the Verse:
On the Day of Resurrection, when the great and overwhelming event arrives — the second blast of the Trumpet that brings all creation back to life — Hellfire will be brought forth and displayed in full view for every eye to behold. It will not be hidden or veiled; rather, it will be exposed openly and clearly, so that every single person — whether believer or disbeliever, righteous or wicked — will see it with their own eyes. This is a moment of absolute clarity, where no one can deny or doubt the reality of what awaits them. The sight of the blazing Fire will strike terror into the hearts of the guilty, while the believers will witness it as a confirmation of the truth they upheld in their worldly life.
This verse comes as a powerful reminder that the Hereafter is not a distant myth or a vague idea — it is a certain reality that will be unveiled before all of creation. The Fire is not merely a concept to be read about; it will be seen, and its heat and horror will be felt. For those who lived heedless of their Lord, this sight will be the beginning of an eternal regret. But for the believers who strove in obedience, this vision will only increase their gratitude for the mercy of Allah that saved them from such a fate.
A Call to Reflection:
Dear reader, imagine standing on that Day when the veil is lifted and the Fire is brought before your very eyes. Would you be among those who look at it with peace, knowing they are shielded from it by their faith and good deeds? Or would you be among those who see it with dread, realizing too late the consequences of their neglect? The Qur'an presents this scene not to frighten you aimlessly, but to awaken your heart while there is still time. Today, you have the opportunity to turn back to Allah, to seek His forgiveness, and to live a life that leads you away from that Fire and toward His eternal Paradise. Do not wait until the sight of Hell becomes your reality — for on that Day, no second chance will be given. Embrace the mercy of Allah now, and let this vivid reminder guide you to the straight path.
