Spreading the Greeting of Peace (Salam) - Hisn al-Muslim
Qaala Rasoolu Allahi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam: Laa tadkhuloo al-jannata hatta tu'minoo, wa laa tu'minoo hatta tahaabboo, awalaa adullukum ala shay'in idha fa'altumoohu tahaababtum? Afshoo as-salaama baynakum.
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'You will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another. Shall I not guide you to something that, if you do it, you will love one another? Spread the greeting of peace among you.'
Thalaathun man jama'ahunna faqad jama'a al-eemaan: al-insaafu min nafsik, wa badhlu as-salaami lil-'aalam, wa al-infaqu min al-iqtaar.
Three qualities, whoever gathers them has gathered faith: fairness from yourself, spreading peace to the world, and spending despite scarcity.
wa 'an 'abdillahi bin 'umara radiyallahu 'anhuma anna rajulan sa'ala an-nabiyya sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam: ayyu al-islami khayr? qala: tut'imu at-ta'ama, wa taqra'u as-salaama 'ala man 'arafta wa man lam ta'rif
On the authority of Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man asked the Prophet (peace be upon him): 'Which aspect of Islam is best?' He said: 'Feed the food, and greet with peace those you know and those you do not know.'
