Supplication upon standing on As-Safa and Al-Marwah - Hisn al-Muslim
Lam-ma da-na an-na-biy-yu sal-lal-la-hu a-lay-hi wa-sal-lam mi-na as-sa-fa qa-ra-a: {In-nas-sa-fa wal-mar-wa-ta min sha-‘aa-i-ril-lah} Ab-da-u bi-ma ba-da-al-la-hu bi-hi, fa-ba-da-a bis-sa-fa, fa-ra-qi-ya a-lay-hi hat-ta ra-al-bay-ta, fas-taq-ba-lal-qib-la-ta, fa-wah-ha-dal-la-ha wa-kab-ba-ra-hu, wa qa-la: La i-la-ha il-lal-la-hu wah-da-hu la sha-ri-ka lah, la-hul-mul-ku wa la-hul-ham-du wa hu-wa a-la kul-li shay-in qa-dir. La i-la-ha il-lal-la-hu wah-da-hu, an-ja-za wa’-da-hu, wa na-sa-ra ‘ab-da-hu, wa ha-za-mal-ah-za-ba wah-da-hu. Thum-ma da-a bay-na dha-lik. Qa-la mith-la ha-dha tha-la-tha mar-rat. Al-ha-dith. Wa fi-hi: Fa-fa-a-la a-lal-mar-wa-ti ka-ma fa-a-la a-las-sa-fa.
When the Prophet (peace be upon him) approached As-Safa, he recited: {Indeed, As-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah.} He said, 'I begin with what Allah began with,' so he started with As-Safa. He climbed it until he saw the House (the Kaaba), then he faced the Qibla, proclaimed the oneness of Allah and glorified Him, and said: 'La ilaha illa Allahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir. Then he supplicated between that. He repeated this three times. The hadith continues: 'And he did on Al-Marwah as he did on As-Safa.'
