Remembrances after the Salutation of Prayer - Hisn al-Muslim

1/13 ❀

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ (1).

🔤 Transliteration

Astaghfirullah (1).

🌐 English Translation

I seek forgiveness from Allah (once).

2/13 ❀

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ، وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ، تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ (1).

🔤 Transliteration

Allahumma anta as-salamu wa minka as-salamu tabarakta ya dhal-jalali wal-ikram

🌐 English Translation

O Allah, You are As-Salam (the Peace), and from You comes peace. Blessed are You, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor. (1)

3/13 ❀

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ (1).

🔤 Transliteration

La ilaha illa Allahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadeer.

🌐 English Translation

There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner. His is the sovereignty, and His is the praise, and He is over all things competent.

4/13 ❀

اللَّهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ، وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ، وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ (1).

🔤 Transliteration

Allahumma la mani'a lima a'tayt, wa la mu'tiya lima mana't, wa la yanfa'u dhal-jaddi minkal-jadd

🌐 English Translation

O Allah, there is none who can withhold what You give, and none who can give what You withhold, and no wealth or fortune can benefit anyone against Your will.

5/13 ❀

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ، لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَلَا نَعْبُدُ إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ، لَهُ النِّعْمَةُ وَلَهُ الْفَضْلُ وَلَهُ الثَّنَاءُ الْحَسَنُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ (1).

🔤 Transliteration

La ilaha illa Allahu wahdahu, la sharika lah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadeer, la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah, la ilaha illa Allah, wa la na'budu illa iyyah, lahun ni'matu wa lahul fadlu wa lahul thana'ul hasan, la ilaha illa Allahu mukhleseena lahud deena wa law karehal kafiroon.

🌐 English Translation

There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the sovereignty, and His is the praise, and He is over all things competent. There is no power and no strength except with Allah. There is no god but Allah, and we worship none but Him. To Him belong the blessings, and to Him belong the grace, and to Him belongs the goodly praise. There is no god but Allah, sincere to Him in religion, even if the disbelievers dislike it.

6/13 ❀

﴿قُلۡ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ١ ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ ٢ لَمۡ يَلِدۡ وَلَمۡ يُولَدۡ ٣ وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدُۢ ٤ (1).﴾

🔤 Transliteration

Qul huwa Allahu ahad. Allahu al-samad. Lam yalid wa lam yulad. Wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan ahad.

🌐 English Translation

Say, 'He is Allah, [who is] One, Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent.' (1)

7/13 ❀

﴿قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلۡفَلَقِ ١ مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ٢ وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ٣ وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّـٰثَٰتِ فِي ٱلۡعُقَدِ ٤ وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ٥ (1).﴾

🔤 Transliteration

Qul a'udhu bi rabbil-falaq, min sharri ma khalaq, wa min sharri ghasiqin idha waqab, wa min sharrin-naffathati fil-'uqad, wa min sharri hasidin idha hasad.

🌐 English Translation

Say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak, from the evil of what He has created, and from the evil of the darkness when it settles, and from the evil of the blowers in knots, and from the evil of an envier when he envies.' (1)

8/13 ❀

﴿قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ ١ مَلِكِ ٱلنَّاسِ ٢ إِلَٰهِ ٱلنَّاسِ ٣ مِن شَرِّ ٱلۡوَسۡوَاسِ ٱلۡخَنَّاسِ ٤ ٱلَّذِي يُوَسۡوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ ٱلنَّاسِ ٥ مِنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ ٦ (1).﴾

🔤 Transliteration

Qul a'oodhu bi rabbin naas, malikin naas, ilaahin naas, min sharri al waswaasil khannaas, alladhee yuwaswisu fee sudoorin naas, minal jinnati wan naas.

🌐 English Translation

Say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, the Sovereign of mankind, the God of mankind, from the evil of the whisperer who withdraws [when mentioned], who whispers in the breasts of mankind, from among the jinn and mankind.' (1)

9/13 ❀

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ (1).

🔤 Transliteration

Subhanallah, walhamdulillah, wallahu akbar (1).

🌐 English Translation

Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Allah, and Allah is the Greatest (1).

10/13 ❀

﴿ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلۡحَيُّ ٱلۡقَيُّومُۚ لَا تَأۡخُذُهُۥ سِنَةٞ وَلَا نَوۡمٞۚ لَّهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ مَن ذَا ٱلَّذِي يَشۡفَعُ عِندَهُۥٓ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِهِۦۚ يَعۡلَمُ مَا بَيۡنَ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَهُمۡۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيۡءٖ مِّنۡ عِلۡمِهِۦٓ إِلَّا بِمَا شَآءَۚ وَسِعَ كُرۡسِيُّهُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَۖ وَلَا يَـُٔودُهُۥ حِفۡظُهُمَاۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَلِيُّ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ ٢٥٥ (1).﴾

🔤 Transliteration

Allahu la ilaha illa Huwa, Al-Hayyul-Qayyum. La ta'khudhuhu sinatun wa la nawm. Lahu ma fis-samawati wa ma fil-ard. Man dhalladhi yashfa'u 'indahu illa bi-idhnih. Ya'lamu ma bayna aydihim wa ma khalfahum. Wa la yuhituna bi-shay'in min 'ilmihi illa bima sha'a. Wasi'a kursiyyuhus-samawati wal-ard. Wa la ya'uduhu hifdhuhuma. Wa Huwal-'Aliyyul-'Adheem.

🌐 English Translation

Allah! There is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. (255)

11/13 ❀

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ (1).

🔤 Transliteration

La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu yuhyi wa yumitu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir.

🌐 English Translation

There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the sovereignty and His is the praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is over all things competent.

12/13 ❀

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ (1).

🔤 Transliteration

La ilaha illallah, wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir.

🌐 English Translation

There is no god but Allah, alone, without any partner. His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is over all things competent.

13/13 ❀

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا (1).

🔤 Transliteration

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.

🌐 English Translation

O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and accepted deeds.
