Seeking Forgiveness and Repentance - Hisn al-Muslim

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ (1).

🔤 Transliteration

Astaghfirullah alladhi la ilaha illa huwa al-Hayy al-Qayyum wa atubu ilayh

🌐 English Translation

I seek forgiveness from Allah, there is no deity worthy of worship except Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining, and I repent to Him.

2/6 ❀

I seek forgiveness from Allah, there is no god but Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining, and I repent to Him.

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الْعَظيمَ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ (1).

🔤 Transliteration

Astaghfirullah al-'Azeem alladhi la ilaha illa Huwal-Hayyul-Qayyoom wa atoobu ilayh

🌐 English Translation

I seek forgiveness from Allah, the Almighty, Whom there is no deity worthy of worship except Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining, and I repent to Him.

4/6 ❀

وَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَقْرَبُ مَا يَكُونُ الرَّبُّ مِنَ الْعَبْدِ فِي جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ الْآخِرِ، فَإِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِمَّنْ يَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ فِي تِلْكَ السَّاعَةِ فَكُنْ (1).

🔤 Transliteration

Wa qaala sallallahu alayhi wa sallam: Aqrabu ma yakoonu ar-Rabbu minal 'abdi fee jawfi al-layli al-akhiri, fa in istata'ta an takoona mimman yadhkurullaha fee tilka as-sa'ati fakun.

🌐 English Translation

And he (peace be upon him) said: The Lord is closest to His servant during the last part of the night. So if you can be among those who remember Allah at that time, then do so.

5/6 ❀

وَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَقْرَبُ مَا يَكُونُ الْعَبْدُ مِنْ رَبِّهِ وَهُوَ سَاجِدٌ، فَأَكْثِرُوا الدُّعَاءَ (1).

🔤 Transliteration

Wa qala sallallahu alayhi wa sallam: Aqrabu ma yakoonu al-abdu min rabbihi wa huwa sajidun, fa akthiru ad-du'a.

🌐 English Translation

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The closest a servant can be to his Lord is while he is prostrating, so increase in supplication.
