Supplication for seeing someone afflicted with a trial - Hisn al-Muslim

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي عَافَانِي مِمَّا ابْتَلَاكَ بِهِ، وَفَضَّلَنِي عَلَى كَثِيرٍ مِمَّنْ خَلَقَ تَفْضِيلًا (1).

🔤 Transliteration

Al-ḥamdu lillāhi alladhī ʿāfānī mimmā ibtalāka bihī, wa faḍḍalanī ʿalā kathīrin mimman khalaqa tafḍīlā.

🌐 English Translation

All praise is due to Allah who has kept me safe from that with which He has afflicted you, and who has favored me greatly above many of those He has created.
