Congratulating the one who has been given a newborn and its reply - Hisn al-Muslim

بَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ فِي الْمَوْهُوبِ لَكَ، وَشَكَرْتَ الْوَاهِبَ، وَبَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ، وَرُزِقْتَ بِرَّهُ (1). وَيَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِ الْمُهَنَّأُ فَيَقُولُ: بَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ، وَبَارَكَ عَلَيْكَ، وَجَزَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا، وَرَزَقَكَ اللَّهُ مِثْلَهُ، وَأَجْزَلَ ثَوَابَكَ (2).

🔤 Transliteration

Baarakallaahu laka fil-mawhoobi lak, wa shakartal-waahiba, wa balagha ashuddahu, wa ruziqta birrah. (1) Wa yaruddu ‘alayhil-muhanna’u fayaqoolu: Baarakallaahu lak, wa baaraka ‘alayk, wa jazakallaahu khayra, wa razaqakallaahu mithlah, wa ajzala thawaabak. (2)

🌐 English Translation

May Allah bless you in the gift given to you, and may you thank the Giver, and may he reach the peak of his maturity, and may you be granted his righteousness. (1) And the one being congratulated replies: May Allah bless you, and bless upon you, and reward you with goodness, and grant you the like thereof, and increase your reward. (2)
