Supplication for the Prayer of Istikharah - Hisn al-Muslim

1/1

🌐 English Translation

O Allah, I seek Your guidance by Your knowledge, and I seek Your decree by Your power, and I ask You from Your immense bounty. For indeed, You are able and I am not, and You know and I do not, and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter (and he names his need) is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the outcome of my affair—or he said: in its immediate and future aspects—then decree it for me, make it easy for me, and then bless me in it. And if You know that this matter is evil for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the outcome of my affair—or he said: in its immediate and future aspects—then turn it away from me and turn me away from it, and decree for me good wherever it may be, and then make me content with it. And whoever seeks guidance from the Creator and consults the believing creatures and is deliberate in his affair will never regret; for Allah, the Exalted, says: "And consult them in the matter. And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah."
