Supplication for one who fears the oppression of a ruler - Hisn al-Muslim

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، كُنْ لِي جَارًا مِنْ فُلَانِ بْنِ فُلَانٍ، وَأَحْزَابِهِ مِنْ خَلَائِقِكَ، أَنْ يَفْرُطَ عَلَيَّ أَحَدٌ مِنْهُمْ أَوْ يَطْغَى، عَزَّ جَارُكَ، وَجَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ، وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ (1).

🔤 Transliteration

Allahumma Rabba as-samawati as-sab'i wa Rabba al-'arsh al-'azim, kun li jaran min fulaan ibni fulaan, wa ahzabihi min khala'iqika, an yafruta 'alayya ahadun minhum aw yatgha, 'azza jaruka, wa jalla thana'uka, wa la ilaha illa anta.

🌐 English Translation

O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Mighty Throne, be a protector for me against so-and-so, son of so-and-so, and his factions among Your creation, lest any of them should transgress against me or act tyrannically. Mighty is Your protection, exalted is Your praise, and there is no god worthy of worship except You.

اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُ أَعَزُّ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ جَمِيعًا، اللَّهُ أَعَزُّ مِمَّا أَخَافُ وَأَحْذَرُ، أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْمُمْسِكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعَ أَنْ يَقَعْنَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ عَبْدِكَ فُلَانٍ وَجُنُودِهِ وَأَتْبَاعِهِ وَأَشْيَاعِهِ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ، اللَّهُمَّ كُنْ لِي جَارًا مِنْ شَرِّهِمْ، جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ وَعَزَّ جَارُكَ، وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ، وَلَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ (1).

🔤 Transliteration

Allahu Akbar, Allahu a'azzu min khalqihi jamee'an, Allahu a'azzu mimma akhafu wa ahdharu. A'udhu billahi alladhi la ilaha illa huwal-mumsikus-samawatis-sab'a an yaqa'na 'alal-ardi illa bi-idhnihi min sharri 'abdika fulaanin wa junoodihi wa atba'ihi wa ashya'ihi minal-jinni wal-insi. Allahumma kun li jaaran min sharrihim, jalla thana'uka wa 'azza jaruka, wa tabaraka ismuka, wa la ilaha ghayruk.

🌐 English Translation

Allah is the Greatest, Allah is Mightier than all of His creation, Allah is Mightier than what I fear and dread. I seek refuge in Allah, besides Whom there is no god, Who holds the seven heavens from falling upon the earth except by His permission, from the evil of Your servant so-and-so and his soldiers, followers, and adherents among the jinn and mankind. O Allah, be my Protector against their evil. Glorified be Your praise, exalted is Your protection, blessed is Your name, and there is no god besides You.
