When we face trials — whether in battle, in our personal struggles, or in the challenges of daily life — our response should mirror that of these noble companions. We should turn to Allah with sincere repentance, acknowledging our faults, seeking His forgiveness, asking for steadfastness, and relying on Him for victory. This is the essence of true faith: complete submission, humble supplication, and unwavering trust in Allah's wisdom and power.

The beauty of this supplication lies in its order: first, purification of the soul through seeking forgiveness; second, seeking strength and firmness; and third, seeking victory. This sequence teaches us that inner purity and steadfastness are the foundations upon which external success is built. Without forgiveness and spiritual cleansing, there can be no true firmness; without firmness, there can be no victory.

Let this verse inspire you, dear believer, to adopt this noble attitude in your own life. When difficulties arise, do not complain or despair. Instead, raise your hands to Allah and say: *"Our Lord, forgive us our sins and our excesses in our affairs, make firm our feet, and grant us victory over those who reject the truth."* For indeed, Allah is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, and He never disappoints those who call upon Him with sincere hearts.
