  • خَالِقٍ (khāliq): Creator, the One who brings things into existence from nothing.

  • تُؤْفَكُونَ (tu'fakūn): You are turned away, deluded, or diverted from the truth.

Tafsir (Explanation):

O mankind! Allah calls out to all of humanity—believers and non-believers alike—summoning you to pause and reflect. He commands you to remember His blessings upon you, not just with your tongues in passing, but with your hearts in deep contemplation, and with your limbs in grateful action. For every breath you take, every beat of your heart, every morsel of food you eat, and every drop of water you drink is a testament to His boundless mercy and generosity.

Consider this profound question: Is there any creator other than Allah who provides for you from the sky and the earth? The sky sends down rain that revives barren lands, fills rivers and wells, and sustains countless forms of life. The earth brings forth fruits, grains, vegetables, minerals, and countless treasures that you depend on every single day. Who else but Allah orchestrates this perfect system? Who else controls the clouds, the winds, the seasons, and the soil? The answer is self-evident: none but Allah alone.

There is no deity worthy of worship except Him. He is the sole Creator, the sole Provider, the sole Sustainer of all existence. Yet, despite this undeniable reality, how is it that you are turned away from this truth? How is it that some people worship idols, stones, trees, or other human beings—things that cannot create even a single grain of rice, let alone provide for the vast universe? How is it that people associate partners with the One who created them and sustains them every moment of their lives?

This verse is a gentle yet powerful reminder that our very existence is a gift from Allah. The fact that you are alive right now, reading these words, is a blessing that countless people have lost. The fact that you have food, shelter, health, and safety are all blessings that many take for granted. When you truly reflect on these favors, your heart naturally fills with love for your Creator, and your tongue naturally expresses gratitude.

So, dear reader, let this verse awaken your consciousness. Look around you and see the fingerprints of Allah's mercy everywhere. Then look within yourself and recognize that you are completely dependent on Him. Let this realization transform your life—turn to Him in worship, rely on Him in times of difficulty, and thank Him in times of ease. For He is the only One who deserves your devotion, and His blessings upon you are truly countless. Do not be among those who are turned away from this clear truth, for the path of gratitude leads to eternal bliss, while the path of heedlessness leads to regret.

📜 Verse 1-5 — Fatir

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, [who] made the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.
Whatever Allah grants to people of mercy - none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds - none can release it thereafter. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
O mankind, remember the favor of Allah upon you. Is there any creator other than Allah who provides for you from the heaven and earth? There is no deity except Him, so how are you deluded?
And if they deny you, [O Muhammad] - already were messengers denied before you. And to Allah are returned [all] matters.
O mankind, indeed the promise of Allah is truth, so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allah by the Deceiver.
