Translation — Tafsir
Word Meanings:
- كُلٌّ لَّمَّا — "All" without exception; a particle of emphasis meaning "nothing but" or "except."
- جَمِيعٌ — All together, gathered collectively.
- لَدَيْنَا — In Our presence, before Us.
- مُحْضَرُونَ — Brought forth, presented, made to attend.
Tafsir (Explanation):
This verse delivers a profound and awe-inspiring truth: every single nation, every generation, and every individual that has ever existed—whether from those who were destroyed in the past or those who came after—will be gathered together, without any exception, in the presence of Allah on the Day of Resurrection. There is no escape, no omission, and no negligence. All of creation, from the first to the last, will be brought before their Lord for the ultimate reckoning and just recompense of their deeds.
The verse uses emphatic construction to leave no room for doubt: "There is not one of them but will all be brought before Us." This is a universal summons that transcends time and place. Every soul that ever lived, whether believer or disbeliever, obedient or rebellious, will stand before Allah—alone yet among billions—to answer for what it did in this worldly life. The gathering is not partial or selective; it is comprehensive and absolute.
This is a call to awaken the heart: if you truly believe that you will stand before Allah, then how can you live carelessly? How can you persist in sin while knowing that every deed is recorded and every soul will be presented? The verse instills both fear and hope—fear of the standing before the Almighty, and hope that His justice is perfect and His mercy is vast for those who repent and do good.
Da'wah Reflection:
Dear reader, let this verse stir your soul. You are not forgotten, and your life is not meaningless. Every moment you live, every action you take, is known to Allah, and one day you will be brought into His presence—not as a distant concept, but as a reality more certain than the sun rising tomorrow. This is not meant to frighten you into despair, but to awaken you to the purpose of your existence. The One who will gather you is the Most Merciful, the Most Just. He does not wrong anyone, not even by the weight of an atom. So turn to Him now, before that Day arrives, and make your life a journey of obedience, sincerity, and love for your Creator. The gathering is certain—but so is His forgiveness for those who seek it with a truthful heart.
