Tafsir (Explanation):
This verse opens Surah Az-Zumar with a profound declaration that establishes the divine origin and authority of the Qur'an. It states that this Book — the Qur'an — is a revelation sent down from Allah alone, the Almighty in His power and the All-Wise in His planning and commands. The verse affirms that no one other than Allah could have produced or revealed this scripture, and it is not the work of any human, poet, or soothsayer. Rather, it is the pure and unadulterated word of the Creator.
The attribute Al-Aziz (the Almighty) reminds us that Allah's power is absolute and unmatched. He is the One whose might no force can overcome, and His revelation is protected from any corruption, alteration, or distortion. The attribute Al-Hakeem (the All-Wise) assures us that everything in this Book — its laws, its stories, its guidance — is placed with perfect wisdom and purpose. Nothing in the Qur'an is arbitrary or without benefit; every verse, every command, and every prohibition carries profound wisdom that serves the well-being of humanity in this life and the Hereafter.
This opening verse sets the tone for the entire surah, calling the reader to reflect on the source of this magnificent Book. When we recognize that the Qur'an comes from the Almighty and the All-Wise, we naturally submit to its guidance with humility and trust. We understand that its teachings are not the product of limited human intellect but the wisdom of the One who created us and knows what is best for us.

When you follow it, you are aligning yourself with the most perfect guidance ever sent to humanity. Let this knowledge fill your heart with awe, love, and a sincere desire to live by its teachings.
