Surah Muhammad — Verse 22

Allah asks: "If you turn away from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him), is it not expected of you that you will spread corruption in the land and sever your family ties?"

The question is not a genuine inquiry but a stern warning. It exposes the reality of human nature when separated from divine guidance. History bears witness—before Islam, the Arabs lived in a state of chaos, shedding blood over trivial matters, burying their daughters alive, and cutting off relatives over pride or greed. When they turned away from the truth, corruption and broken families became their hallmark.
