Tafsir (Explanation):
We, Allah, know with perfect knowledge that the words of your people, O Messenger, which they utter against you and against the message you have brought, cause you deep grief and sorrow. Their accusations of falsehood, their mockery, and their rejection weigh heavily upon your noble heart. But Allah, in His infinite mercy and compassion, comforts you with this divine reassurance: they are not truly denying *you* in their innermost hearts. They know you well—your truthfulness, your trustworthiness, your impeccable character. They have called you "Al-Amin" (the trustworthy one) long before the revelation came to you. They know in their hearts that you are honest and that what you bring is the truth.
Rather, it is their own injustice and transgression that drives them to reject the clear signs of Allah. They stubbornly refuse to acknowledge the undeniable proofs and miracles that testify to your truthfulness. Their denial is not born of ignorance or doubt, but of arrogance, envy, and a hardened heart that refuses to submit to the truth. They know it is true, yet they suppress that knowledge and turn away in defiance.
This verse carries a profound lesson for every believer: the pain of rejection and mockery is not unknown to Allah. He sees your tears, He hears your sighs, and He knows the weight of what you carry. Take comfort in this divine awareness. When people reject you or the truth you stand for, remember that their rejection is often not about you—it is about their own inner struggle with the truth. Your duty is to convey the message with sincerity and patience, leaving the guidance to Allah.
And what a beautiful consolation this is! The One who created the heavens and the earth, who knows the secrets of every heart, assures His beloved Prophet that his grief is seen and understood. This is a reminder for us all: when we face hardship in spreading goodness, when people mock our faith or our efforts, we are not alone. Allah knows, Allah sees, and Allah will never abandon those who strive in His cause.
So let your heart be at peace, dear believer. The truth stands firm, and falsehood will always fade away. Even if the whole world turns against you, Allah is with you. And in the end, it is Allah's judgment that prevails, not the words of the deniers.
