📖 English Meaning
And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy until, when they have carried heavy rainclouds, We drive them to a dead land and We send down rain therein and bring forth thereby [some] of all the fruits. Thus will We bring forth the dead; perhaps you may be reminded.

Key Words and Phrases:

(Bushran): Good tidings or glad tidings — the winds are sent as harbingers of mercy.
(Bayna yaday rahmatihi): Literally "between the hands of His mercy," meaning preceding or announcing His mercy, which is the rain.
(Aqallat): Carried or lifted up — referring to the winds carrying the clouds.
(Sahaban thiqalan): Heavy clouds, laden with water.
(Libaladin mayyit): A dead land — barren, dry, and lifeless soil.
(Nukhrijul-mawta): We bring out the dead — a direct reference to the resurrection.

The Interpretation:

Allah — in His infinite wisdom and mercy — is the One who sends the winds as gentle heralds of His coming mercy. These winds move softly, carrying with them the promise of rain, and they fill the hearts of people with hope and anticipation. They are not destructive or chaotic, but purposeful and kind, moving ahead of the rain like messengers of good news.

When these winds have gathered and lifted the heavy clouds — clouds swollen with the water of life — Allah drives them toward a land that is dead: a land parched and barren, where the soil is cracked, the trees are withered, and no sign of life remains. Then, He sends down the rain upon that dead land, and with that same water, He brings forth fruits of every kind — dates, grapes, grains, and countless blessings. The earth that was lifeless suddenly bursts with color, fragrance, and sustenance.

This is not a random act of nature — it is a deliberate sign from the Lord of all worlds. Just as He revives the dead earth with rain, He will revive the dead bodies of humanity on the Day of Resurrection. The same Power that transforms dust into green gardens is the Power that will bring you forth from your graves. So reflect, O human being: if you can see with your own eyes how the barren land comes alive, how can you doubt that your Creator can bring you back to life? Let this beautiful, visible miracle open your heart to the truth of the Hereafter, and let it draw you closer to the One who holds the keys to life and death. For He who gives life to the earth is surely able to give life to the hearts that are dead in heedlessness — and He invites you, through these signs, to remember, to believe, and to return to Him.

📜 Verse 55-59 — Al-A'raf

Call upon your Lord in humility and privately; indeed, He does not like transgressors.
And cause not corruption upon the earth after its reformation. And invoke Him in fear and aspiration. Indeed, the mercy of Allah is near to the doers of good.
And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy until, when they have carried heavy rainclouds, We drive them to a dead land and We send down rain therein and bring forth thereby [some] of all the fruits. Thus will We bring forth the dead; perhaps you may be reminded.
And the good land - its vegetation emerges by permission of its Lord; but that which is bad - nothing emerges except sparsely, with difficulty. Thus do We diversify the signs for a people who are grateful.
We had certainly sent Noah to his people, and he said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous Day.
