Surah Al-Anfal — Verse 65

O Prophet, Allah commands you to stir the hearts of the believers and ignite their courage for battle — not with harshness, but with words that awaken their faith, strengthen their resolve, and remind them of the eternal reward that awaits the patient and the steadfast. This is a call to action rooted in trust in Allah’s promise.

Allah then sets a remarkable standard of faith and courage: if there are among you twenty steadfast believers, they shall overcome two hundred of the enemy. And if there are a hundred of you, patient and firm, they shall overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve. This is not a mere numerical equation — it is a spiritual reality. The believer fights with certainty in Allah’s support, with a heart anchored in patience and a soul that seeks nothing but His pleasure. The disbelievers, by contrast, fight for worldly dominance, driven by arrogance and ignorance.
