- بِلِسَانٍ (bilisānin): With a tongue/language
- عَرَبِيٍّ (ʿarabiyyin): Arabic
- مُبِينٍ (mubīnin): Clear, evident, and unambiguous
Explanation of the Verse:
This verse completes the description of how the Qur'an was revealed. Allah Almighty states that this glorious Qur'an was sent down through the trustworthy angel Jibrīl (Gabriel) upon the heart of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and it was revealed in a clear Arabic tongue.
The word "mubīn" (clear) signifies that this Arabic is not obscure, ambiguous, or difficult to understand. Rather, it is a language of utmost clarity and eloquence—one that conveys its meanings with perfect precision and leaves no room for confusion in the core message it delivers. The Qur'an was revealed in the language of the people to whom it was first addressed, so that they might understand it directly, reflect upon its verses, and find guidance in its teachings.
This clarity serves a profound purpose: the Qur'an is not a book of riddles or esoteric mysteries, but a divine guide meant to be read, understood, and applied. Its message addresses the intellect and the heart alike, calling humanity to worship Allah alone, to uphold justice, and to prepare for the Hereafter. The Arabic language, with its rich vocabulary and precise grammar, was chosen to carry this final revelation because it was the language of the people who would first receive it—yet its message transcends time and place, remaining a living miracle for all generations.
A Daʿwah Reflection:
Beloved reader, ponder the immense mercy embedded in this verse. The Creator of the heavens and the earth, in His infinite wisdom, chose to address you in a language you can grasp, through a Book that speaks to your soul. He did not leave you to wander in darkness; He sent down a light that is clear and radiant. The Qur'an is not a distant, untouchable text—it is a conversation between your Lord and you, filled with guidance for every step of your journey. When you open its pages, you are opening a letter from the Most Merciful. Let its clarity illuminate your heart, and let its words transform your life. This is the Book that has changed countless lives across centuries—will you let it change yours today?
