Word Meanings:

  • آمَنَ لَهُ – believed in him, trusted his message.
  • مُهَاجِرٌ – one who leaves his homeland for the sake of Allah, migrating to a place where he can worship freely.
The Almighty, the All-Powerful, the One who cannot be overcome.
The All-Wise, the One who places everything in its perfect order.

Tafsir (Explanation):

Prophet Lot (peace be upon him) was the first to respond to Prophet Abraham's (peace be upon him) call with sincere faith. He believed in his message and followed his path, standing by him in the face of disbelief and opposition. This shows the deep bond of faith that unites the prophets and their followers — a bond stronger than blood ties or homeland.

Then Abraham (peace be upon him) declared his intention to migrate for the sake of his Lord, leaving behind his people and his homeland. He set out toward the blessed land of Sham (greater Syria), a land of goodness and barakah. His migration was not an escape from hardship, but a deliberate act of worship — a journey undertaken to establish the worship of Allah in a place where he could live freely according to his faith.

Abraham's words reveal his profound trust in Allah: *"Indeed, He is the Almighty, the All-Wise."* He knew that the One who commanded him to migrate would protect him, grant him victory, and never abandon him. The Almighty cannot be defeated by any force, and the All-Wise never commands anything except that it carries immense wisdom and benefit for His servants.

This verse carries a timeless lesson for every believer: when the path of faith becomes difficult, do not despair — for Allah opens new doors. Migration, whether physical or spiritual, is a means of drawing closer to Allah. The believer who leaves behind what is familiar for the sake of Allah will never be a loser, for Allah is the Protector of those who trust in Him.

Let this beautiful example inspire you: Abraham's faith was so strong that he left everything behind with certainty that Allah would provide for him. And indeed, Allah honored him with prophethood, a noble legacy, and made him a leader for all of humanity. Whoever puts their trust in Allah, Allah will never let them down.

📜 Verse 24-28 — Al-'Ankabut

And the answer of Abraham's people was not but that they said, "Kill him or burn him," but Allah saved him from the fire. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.
And [Abraham] said, "You have only taken, other than Allah, idols as [a bond of] affection among you in worldly life. Then on the Day of Resurrection you will deny one another and curse one another, and your refuge will be the Fire, and you will not have any helpers."
And Lot believed him. [Abraham] said, "Indeed, I will emigrate to [the service of] my Lord. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise."
And We gave to Him Isaac and Jacob and placed in his descendants prophethood and scripture. And We gave him his reward in this world, and indeed, he is in the Hereafter among the righteous.
And [mention] Lot, when he said to his people, "Indeed, you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds.
