Key Words and Their Meanings:

  • Al-Hamd (الْحَمْدُ): All praise and gratitude, expressed with love and reverence.
  • Adh-haba (أَذْهَبَ): Removed, took away, or caused to disappear completely.
  • Al-Hazan (الْحَزَنَ): Grief, sorrow, sadness, or any cause of distress — whether fear of punishment, regret over sin, or worry about the past and future.

Explanation of the Verse:

When the people of Paradise enter their eternal home and witness the immense blessings that Allah has prepared for them, they spontaneously declare: "All praise and gratitude belong to Allah, who has removed from us all grief and sorrow." This is not merely a statement of relief — it is a profound acknowledgment that every trace of sadness, fear, and anxiety has been completely erased from their hearts. No more fear of punishment, no more regret over past sins, no more worry about provision or fate. All of that is gone forever.

They then recognize the two magnificent attributes of their Lord that made this possible: "Indeed, our Lord is Most Forgiving, Most Appreciative." He is *Ghafoor* — He forgives the sins of those who repent, wiping away their misdeeds and shortcomings. And He is *Shakoor* — He appreciates and rewards even the smallest acts of obedience, multiplying them many times over. It is this perfect combination of forgiveness and generosity that has brought them to this blissful state.

They continue in their gratitude, acknowledging that it is by His grace and favor alone that they have been settled in this everlasting abode, where no fatigue, hardship, or weariness will ever touch them.

A Da'wah Reflection:

This verse paints a beautiful picture of the ultimate success that awaits the believers. Imagine a life completely free of sorrow — no grief over lost loved ones, no anxiety about the future, no guilt over past mistakes. This is the promise of Allah to those who believe and do righteous deeds. The people of Paradise do not enter it because they were perfect; they enter it because their Lord is *Ghafoor* (Forgiving) and *Shakoor* (Appreciative). He forgives what they did wrong, and He rewards what they did right — and His reward is beyond imagination.

This should fill every Muslim's heart with hope and motivation. No matter how many sins you have committed, the door of forgiveness is wide open. And no matter how small your good deeds may seem, Allah sees them, appreciates them, and multiplies them beyond measure. So strive in obedience, seek His forgiveness, and look forward to the day when you too will say: "All praise is for Allah, who has removed from us all grief." May Allah make us among those who utter these words in Paradise. Ameen.

📜 Verse 32-36 — Fatir

Then we caused to inherit the Book those We have chosen of Our servants; and among them is he who wrongs himself, and among them is he who is moderate, and among them is he who is foremost in good deeds by permission of Allah. That [inheritance] is what is the great bounty.
[For them are] gardens of perpetual residence which they will enter. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be silk.
And they will say, "Praise to Allah, who has removed from us [all] sorrow. Indeed, our Lord is Forgiving and Appreciative -
He who has settled us in the home of duration out of His bounty. There touches us not in it any fatigue, and there touches us not in it weariness [of mind]."
And for those who disbelieve will be the fire of Hell. [Death] is not decreed for them so they may die, nor will its torment be lightened for them. Thus do we recompense every ungrateful one.
