Explanation of the Verse:
This verse shines with the light of divine honor and mercy. Allah, the Most High, declares His complete pleasure and satisfaction with the believers who pledged their loyalty to His Messenger ﷺ under the tree at Hudaybiyyah — a pledge known as *Bay'at al-Ridwan* (the Pledge of Divine Pleasure). This was a moment of profound sincerity, when the companions, may Allah be pleased with them all, committed themselves wholeheartedly to obedience and steadfastness, even in the face of uncertainty and potential danger.
Allah knew what was in their hearts — their genuine faith, their unwavering truthfulness, and their deep loyalty to Him and His Messenger. He did not merely look at their outward actions; He saw the purity of their intentions and the strength of their conviction. Because of this, He sent down *al-Sakinah* upon them — a divine tranquility that steadied their hearts, removed their anxiety, and filled them with peace and certainty.
And as a reward for their sincere pledge and their patience during the difficult circumstances at Hudaybiyyah — where they were prevented from entering Makkah — Allah granted them a near victory: the conquest of Khaybar. This was a compensation that brought them honor, strength, and abundant spoils, showing that Allah never lets the sincere efforts of His believers go to waste.
A Call to Reflection and Action:
Dear believer, look at how Allah honors those who are truthful in their commitment to Him. When you stand firm in your faith, when you obey Allah and His Messenger with a sincere heart, Allah does not abandon you. He knows what is within you — your struggles, your sacrifices, and your hidden sincerity. He will send tranquility into your heart in times of distress, and He will open doors of victory for you in ways you never imagined. Just as He rewarded the companions of the Prophet ﷺ with a near conquest, He will reward your patience and loyalty with success in this life and the greatest reward in the Hereafter. So hold fast to your faith, be sincere in your devotion, and trust that Allah's promise is true — for He is Mighty in His support of the believers, and Wise in all His decrees.
