Key Words and Phrases:

  • أَوَّابٍ (Awwāb): One who constantly turns back to Allah in repentance, returning to Him after every sin and shortcoming.
(Hafīẓ): One who is vigilant and protective, guarding what Allah has commanded—His obligations, His limits, and one's own deeds, preserving them from loss or violation.

Explanation of the Verse:

On the Day of Judgment, when the righteous are brought before Paradise and witness its splendour, it will be said to them: "This is what you were promised—this magnificent reward is for every servant who constantly turns back to Allah in sincere repentance, and who carefully guards the commands of Allah. Such a person protects his obligatory duties, fulfils what Allah has made binding upon him, and keeps watch over his own actions and words, ever mindful of his Lord. He fears Allah in the worldly life, and he meets his Lord on this Day with a heart that has turned away from sin and returned to its Creator. This promise is the fruit of that lifelong devotion—a reward that befits the one who made repentance his habit and obedience his shield."

A Call to Reflection and Action:

Dear believer, pause and reflect on this glorious promise! Allah, the Most Merciful, does not merely describe Paradise—He tells you exactly how to reach it. The door is open, and the path is clear: be among the *Awwābūn*, those who never let a sin settle in their hearts without immediately washing it away with repentance. And be among the *Hāfiẓūn*, those who guard their prayers, their tongues, their eyes, and their trusts. This is not a reward for the perfect—it is a reward for the persistent, for those who stumble yet rise again, who sin yet return to their Lord with humility. How beautiful is a Lord who turns your very struggles into a means of drawing closer to Him! So do not despair of your shortcomings; rather, make repentance your daily bread and obedience your constant companion. For the One who made this promise is the One who never breaks His word—and He has prepared for you what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has ever imagined. Let this verse ignite in you a longing for that eternal home, and let every breath you take be a step toward it.

📜 Verse 30-34 — Qaf

On the Day We will say to Hell, "Have you been filled?" and it will say, "Are there some more,"
And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far,
[It will be said], "This is what you were promised - for every returner [to Allah] and keeper [of His covenant]
Who feared the Most Merciful unseen and came with a heart returning [in repentance].
Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity."
