By swearing by such a phenomenon, Allah draws our attention to the intricate systems He has placed in nature—systems that sustain life, renew the earth, and demonstrate His absolute power and control over all things.

This oath serves as a prelude to a greater truth that follows in the coming verses: the certainty of the Day of Resurrection and the inevitable account of every soul’s deeds.
