Surah Al-Waqi'ah — Verse 73

Second, He made fire a convenience and benefit for travelers — those who journey through empty, desolate lands where no civilization or shelter exists. In such harsh conditions, fire becomes a lifeline: it provides warmth against the cold night, cooks their food, lights their path, and wards off wild beasts. This is a mercy from Allah, who did not leave His servants without means of survival in the most challenging circumstances. He placed this utility within the very element that could otherwise be destructive, showing His perfect wisdom and care for humanity.

So reflect, dear reader: the same fire that can burn and destroy is also a source of light, warmth, and nourishment. This duality is a sign of Allah’s absolute power and His boundless mercy.
