Surah Al-Waqi'ah — Verse 74

O Prophet, glorify your Lord — the One who is Al-ʿAẓīm, the Magnificent — by declaring Him free from every imperfection, deficiency, or anything that does not befit His majesty. This command is not limited to the Prophet alone; it is a call directed to every believer, inviting us to continuously purify our hearts and tongues by exalting Allah’s name. His greatness encompasses all perfection in His names and attributes, and His goodness and blessings are boundless. When you glorify Him, you acknowledge that He alone is worthy of all praise, that He is above any weakness, and that His power and wisdom are beyond compare. This simple yet profound act of tasbīḥ (glorification) is a means of drawing closer to Him, purifying the soul, and finding tranquility in the remembrance of the Almighty. It is a reminder that no matter what happens in this world — whether of joy or hardship — the ultimate refuge and source of peace lies in glorifying the One who controls all affairs.
