Translation — Tafsir
Word Meanings:
- Za'ama (زَعَمَ): Claimed or alleged falsely; it implies a claim made without certainty or based on falsehood.
- Yub'athu (يُبْعَثُوا): To be raised up or resurrected from the graves after death.
- Latunabba'unna (لَتُنَبَّؤُنَّ): You will certainly be informed or told of everything you did.
- Yaseer (يَسِيرٌ): Easy, effortless, and simple for Allah to accomplish.
Explanation of the Verse:
The disbelievers, in their arrogance and denial, falsely claimed that they would never be resurrected after death. They rejected the idea of life after death, thinking that once they decayed in the earth, there would be no return. But Allah commands His Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to respond to them with a decisive and emphatic oath: "Yes, by my Lord, you will surely be resurrected!" This is not a matter of doubt or speculation—it is an absolute certainty. After resurrection, every single person will be informed of all their deeds, whether good or evil, and they will be held accountable for them. Nothing will be hidden or forgotten. And this resurrection and reckoning are extremely easy for Allah; He who created you the first time from nothing has the perfect power to bring you back to life again. It is not a difficult task for Him at all.
A Call to Reflection and Faith:
This verse is a powerful reminder of the reality that awaits every soul. The denial of resurrection is not just a rejection of a belief—it is a rejection of justice, accountability, and the wisdom of creation. How could the Creator who fashioned you in the womb, who sustains you every moment, and who will cause you to die, be unable to bring you back? Indeed, returning you to life is even easier than your first creation. So, dear reader, let this truth settle in your heart: your life is not a game without purpose. You are traveling toward a meeting with your Lord, where every secret will be exposed and every deed weighed. Embrace this faith with certainty, and let it transform your actions into deeds that will bring you joy on that Day when you stand before Him. The One who promises resurrection is the Most Truthful—so never let the whispers of doubt turn you away from the path of righteousness.
