Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

  • فَسَتُبْصِرُ (You will see/perceive): You, O Messenger, will come to know and witness with certainty.
  • وَيُبْصِرُونَ (And they will see/perceive): The disbelievers who deny you will also come to know and witness.

Tafsir (Explanation):

This verse is a direct and powerful address to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his opponents. Allah says: "So you will see, and they will see." It is a promise and a warning combined. The Prophet is assured that he will soon witness the truth of Allah's promise—the victory of faith and the downfall of falsehood—while the disbelievers, who mock him and accuse him of madness, will also see with their own eyes the reality they denied. They will realize, when Allah's decree unfolds and His punishment or decisive judgment arrives, who was truly misguided and who was upon the truth.

The verse carries a tone of calm certainty: the Prophet is told to wait, for the outcome is inevitable. The disbelievers' mockery and accusations of insanity will be turned back upon them, as the coming events will expose their own blindness and folly. This is not merely a threat but a reassurance—a reminder that truth, no matter how long it is opposed, will ultimately prevail, and every soul will witness the consequence of its choices.

Da'wah Reflection:

This verse teaches us a profound lesson in patience and trust in Allah. When you are mocked, belittled, or accused of being foolish for following the truth, remember that time is Allah's witness. The Prophet himself faced the harshest accusations—being called a madman and a liar—yet Allah told him: "You will see, and they will see." The same applies to every believer today. Hold firm to your faith, for the future belongs to the righteous. The mockers may laugh today, but tomorrow they will see what they never expected. Let this verse fill your heart with hope and certainty: Allah never abandons His servants, and the end of patience is always victory. So, be steadfast, and let your trust in Allah turn every insult into a source of strength.
