Tafsir (Explanation):
After the people of Paradise have entered their eternal home and the people of the Fire have been cast into theirs, a remarkable dialogue takes place across the great divide. The blessed inhabitants of Paradise call out to the wretched inhabitants of the Fire, saying: *"We have truly found what our Lord promised us to be real!"* — meaning the reward, the gardens, the rivers, the bliss, and every delight that was promised through the messengers — all of it has come to pass, exactly as Allah said. Then they ask them: *"Have you also found what your Lord promised you to be real?"* — referring to the punishment, the scorching fire, the boiling drink, and the painful torment.
The people of the Fire answer with painful honesty: *"Yes!"* — they have indeed found every threat of Allah to be true and just. Their admission is not one of faith or repentance, but of bitter acknowledgment that cannot benefit them any longer.
At that moment, a caller — one who makes both groups hear — proclaims aloud between them: *"The curse of Allah is upon the wrongdoers!"* These are the wrongdoers who transgressed Allah's limits, disbelieved in His signs, rejected His messengers, and persisted in oppression and sin throughout their worldly lives. They were the ones for whom the doors of mercy were opened, yet they turned away; the truth was presented to them, yet they rejected it.
This scene carries profound lessons for us. It confirms that Allah's promise and His warning are both absolutely true — no one should ever doubt that what Allah has decreed will surely come to pass. It also shows us that on that Day, the truth will be undeniable to every soul, yet acknowledgment alone will not save anyone. The time to act is now, in this life, where we can still turn to Allah, seek His mercy, and strive to be among the people of Paradise rather than the people of the Fire. Let this vivid scene inspire you to hold fast to faith, to do good, and to never let the fleeting pleasures of this world distract you from the eternal reality that awaits.
