Surah At-Takwir — Verse 13

Tafsir (Explanation):

On the Day of Judgment, when the sun is folded up and its light is extinguished, when the stars fall and scatter, when the mountains are set in motion and become like scattered dust, when the pregnant camels are left untended, when the wild beasts are gathered together, when the seas are set ablaze, when the souls are paired with their likes, when the buried infant girl is asked for what sin she was killed, when the scrolls of deeds are spread open, when the sky is stripped away, when Hellfire is set fiercely ablaze — at that very moment, Paradise, the abode of eternal bliss, will be brought near to the righteous who feared their Lord and guarded against sin. It will be drawn close to them so that they may behold its beauty and enter it without hardship or delay.

This verse is a powerful promise of hope and mercy. After the terrifying scenes of destruction and reckoning, Allah mentions the ultimate reward for the believers: Paradise brought near, not as a distant hope, but as a reality within sight. The word "أُزْلِفَتْ" conveys intimacy and honor — the righteous are not merely called to Paradise; it is brought to them, as a generous host welcomes an honored guest. This is a call to every believer to strive in good deeds, to fear Allah in private and public, and to hold firm to the rope of faith, for the reward is not only great but also near.
