📖 English Meaning
And, [O Muhammad], you are not [engaged] in any matter or recite any of the Qur'an and you [people] do not do any deed except that We are witness over you when you are involved in it. And not absent from your Lord is any [part] of an atom's weight within the earth or within the heaven or [anything] smaller than that or greater but that it is in a clear register.

  • Shuhūdan (شُهُودًا): Witnesses, observers.
  • Tufīḍūna (تُفِيضُونَ): You engage in, plunge into, or immerse yourselves in.

Explanation of the Verse:

This noble verse is a profound reassurance and a powerful reminder of Allah’s complete and encompassing knowledge. Allah addresses His Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the entire believing community, declaring that no matter what affair you find yourself in — whether it be a matter of this world or the Hereafter — and no matter how much of the Qur’an you recite, and no matter what deed you perform, whether great or small, good or evil, Allah is a Witness over you at the very moment you engage in it. Nothing escapes His sight, His hearing, or His knowledge. He sees you as you begin the action, as you persist in it, and as you complete it — and He records it all for you, so that He may recompense you with perfect justice and boundless mercy.

Then Allah expands this truth to its most magnificent scope: nothing is hidden from your Lord — not even the weight of the tiniest atom in the earth or in the heavens. And there is nothing smaller than that atom, nor anything larger, except that it is inscribed in a clear, luminous Book — the Preserved Tablet — which encompasses all that has happened and all that will happen, from the beginning of creation to eternity.

This verse instills in the believer a profound sense of accountability and awareness. When you know that Allah is watching you at every moment, your faith deepens, your sincerity is purified, and your deeds become acts of worship. You begin to realize that you are never alone — that the One who created you, sustains you, and knows your innermost thoughts is always with you, witnessing your every move. This is not to burden you, but to elevate you. It is an invitation to live a life of excellence (iḥsān), as the Prophet (peace be upon him) described: "To worship Allah as though you see Him, for even though you do not see Him, He certainly sees you."

And what a beautiful promise lies within this verse! Every good deed you do — no matter how small or hidden — is seen by Allah, recorded in His Book, and will be rewarded in full. A kind word, a gentle smile, a secret charity, a silent prayer, a tear shed in humility before your Lord — none of it is lost. Allah is the All-Seeing, the All-Knowing, and His record is perfect and complete. So let this knowledge fill your heart with hope and your soul with tranquility, for you are always in the presence of the Most Merciful, who never forgets a single act of goodness.

📜 Verse 59-63 — Yunus

Say, "Have you seen what Allah has sent down to you of provision of which you have made [some] lawful and [some] unlawful?" Say, "Has Allah permitted you [to do so], or do you invent [something] about Allah?"
And what will be the supposition of those who invent falsehood about Allah on the Day of Resurrection? Indeed, Allah is full of bounty to the people, but most of them are not grateful."
Unquestionably, [for] the allies of Allah there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve
Those who believed and were fearing Allah
