Surah Hud — Verse 121

Tafsir (Explanation):

O Messenger, say to those who refuse to believe in Allah and reject His oneness: "Continue in your way and your state — persist in your opposition to the truth, your harm of the Messenger, and your attempts to suppress those who respond to the call of faith. Do whatever you are able to do, for we too shall continue in our way — the way of steadfastness upon our religion, obedience to Allah's command, and unwavering patience in calling to the truth. So wait for the outcome of your affair, and we too shall wait for the outcome of ours."

This verse carries a profound and powerful message of challenge and warning. The believer is not commanded to despair or to engage in futile argument, but rather to stand firm with dignity and certainty. It is a declaration that truth and falsehood each have their own path, and the end result belongs to Allah alone. The believer works with sincerity and patience, while the disbeliever works with arrogance and rejection — but the final judgment rests with the All-Knowing, All-Just.

This is a source of great comfort for the believer: you are not responsible for the stubbornness of others. Your duty is to convey the message with clarity and to remain steadfast upon the truth, no matter how long the road may seem. The promise of Allah is true, and His victory is near for those who are patient.

So let every Muslim take heart from this divine instruction — remain firm upon your principles, continue your good deeds, and leave the outcome to Allah, for He is the Best of judges and the Most Merciful of those who show mercy.
