Tafsir (Explanation):

This is not a passive or weak statement—it is a powerful declaration of certainty and confidence. The believers are told to await the outcome of this struggle, just as the disbelievers await theirs. However, the two sides are not equal in what they anticipate.

The disbelievers wait, hoping for the failure of Islam and the downfall of the believers. But the believers wait with full conviction in Allah’s promise of victory, support, and justice. They await the fulfillment of Allah’s decree—whether it be triumph in this world through the establishment of truth, or the ultimate justice in the Hereafter, where every soul will be recompensed for what it earned.
