Explanation of the Verse:
After mentioning the fate of those who disbelieve and reject the truth, Allah now turns to the other group—the believers. He says: *"But as for one who believes and does righteous deeds, for him is the best reward (Paradise), and we will speak to him from Our command with ease."*
This verse highlights the beautiful contrast between the two paths. The believer is not left without hope; rather, Allah promises him the highest reward—Jannah—as a direct result of his faith and good actions. Faith is not merely a claim in the heart; it must be accompanied by righteous deeds that reflect that belief in daily life. The reward is described as *"the best"* (al-ḥusnā), which is Paradise—a place of eternal joy, peace, and closeness to Allah.
Moreover, Allah adds a special favor: *"We will speak to him from Our command with ease."* This means that Allah will make his affairs easy for him in this world and the next. He will not burden him with hardships beyond his capacity, but will guide him to what is gentle and manageable. This is a promise of divine facilitation—both in his worldly life and in the Hereafter.
A Daʿwah Reflection:
This verse is a source of immense hope and motivation for every believer. It teaches us that no matter how many trials we face, Allah’s mercy and ease are always near for those who believe and act rightly. Islam is not a religion of unbearable difficulty; it is a religion of balance and ease. Allah says elsewhere: *"Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship"* (2:185). So, let this verse inspire you to strengthen your faith and increase your good deeds—knowing that your Lord has prepared for you a reward beyond imagination and will smooth your path with His grace. Embrace this promise, and let it fill your heart with tranquility and determination to walk the path of righteousness.
