Surah Al-Anbiya — Verse 9

Then comes the other side of the scale: *"And We destroyed the extravagant ones."* These were the people who had crossed every limit—they drowned in their own arrogance, rejected every sign, oppressed the weak, and spread corruption on earth. Their end was utter ruin, a lesson for all of humanity that no power, wealth, or status can protect a soul from the justice of its Creator.

The prophets were patient through hardship, and their patience was rewarded with salvation. The believers who stood by them were not forgotten; they were included in the divine rescue. So, dear reader, take heart! If you are striving for righteousness and feel overwhelmed by the forces of falsehood around you, remember this divine promise. Your Lord is alive, watching, and His word is true. He saved Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Muhammad (peace be upon them all) and their followers—and He will save you too, if you remain steadfast. But beware of the path of the extravagant, for their end is destruction in this world and the next. Choose the path of the saved, and let your heart rest in the certainty of Allah's promise.
