Tafsir (Explanation):

Allah, the Most High, addresses the Quraysh and all of humanity with a profound declaration: "Indeed, We have sent down to you a Book"—and that Book is the Qur'an, the final and complete revelation. Within this glorious scripture lies your true honor, your lasting dignity, and your elevation in this life and the Hereafter—provided you embrace it with sincerity, believe in its truths, and act upon its commandments. It is not merely a collection of words; it is a comprehensive guide that contains everything you need for the well-being of your religion and your worldly affairs. It reminds you of your Lord, your purpose, your destiny, and the path to eternal success.

The verse then poses a piercing rhetorical question: "Will you not then use your reason?" This is an invitation to reflect deeply and to awaken the intellect that Allah has granted you. If you ponder, you will realize the immense favor bestowed upon you—that a Book was revealed to you, through the noblest of Prophets (peace be upon him), in your own language, addressing your own circumstances, and offering you a path to salvation. Reason dictates that when such a priceless gift is placed before you, you should hasten to accept it, cherish it, and live by it. Your honor is not in wealth, lineage, or worldly power alone; your true honor is in clinging to this Book and letting it shape your life. So let your minds lead you to faith, and let your hearts find peace in this divine guidance, for therein lies your success in both worlds.
