  • Yubeen (لِيُبَيِّنَ): To make clear, to explain, to clarify.
  • Yahdiyakum (وَيَهْدِيَكُمْ): To guide you, to direct you.
  • Sunan (سُنَنَ): The ways, paths, or established practices.
  • Yatooba (يَتُوبَ): To turn in mercy, to accept repentance, to guide towards repentance.

Tafsir (Explanation):

In this profound verse, Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) declares His divine intentions behind the sacred legislations He has revealed to you, O believers. He says: "Allah desires to make clear to you" — meaning, He wants to illuminate for you the path of truth, the boundaries of the lawful and the unlawful, and the pure teachings of His perfect religion. His legislation is not arbitrary; it is a mercy designed to remove confusion and darkness from your lives.

"And to guide you to the ways of those before you" — Allah wants to direct you to the noble paths of the Prophets and the righteous servants who came before you. Their way in matters of halal and haram, their excellent manners, and their praiseworthy conduct serve as a living example for you to follow. By adhering to these ways, you connect yourself to a chain of guidance that stretches back through generations of believers, and you align your life with the timeless wisdom of divine revelation.

"And to accept your repentance" — This is the essence of Allah's boundless mercy. He does not leave you to your own devices after guiding you; rather, He continuously opens the door for you to return to Him, to turn away from disobedience, and to be forgiven. He desires your purification and your elevation, not your destruction. His call to repentance is an invitation to a fresh start, a clean slate, and a life filled with His love and pleasure.

"And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise" — He knows perfectly what is beneficial for His servants in this world and the Hereafter. His wisdom encompasses every decree He legislates, every command He gives, and every prohibition He sets. Nothing escapes His knowledge, and nothing in His legislation is devoid of profound wisdom and benefit.

A Call to Reflection and Action:

Dear believer, reflect on this beautiful verse and let it fill your heart with hope and love for your Lord. The One who created you knows exactly what your soul needs, what your society needs, and what your eternal happiness requires. His laws are not burdens; they are blessings in disguise. When you follow His guidance, you are not restricting your freedom — you are protecting it from the chaos of ignorance and the misery of sin.

So, embrace the Shariah with an open heart, follow the footsteps of the righteous who came before you, and never despair of Allah's mercy. No matter how many times you stumble, His door of repentance is always open. Turn to Him, and you will find Him waiting with open arms of forgiveness and love. This is the beauty of Islam — a religion that combines clear guidance, noble examples, and endless mercy. Let this verse be a source of tranquility for you, knowing that your Lord desires nothing but good for you, and He is All-Knowing of your needs and All-Wise in His decrees.

📜 Verse 24-28 — An-Nisa

And [also prohibited to you are all] married women except those your right hands possess. [This is] the decree of Allah upon you. And lawful to you are [all others] beyond these, [provided] that you seek them [in marriage] with [gifts from] your property, desiring chastity, not unlawful sexual intercourse. So for whatever you enjoy [of marriage] from them, give them their due compensation as an obligation. And there is no blame upon you for what you mutually agree to beyond the obligation. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.
And whoever among you cannot [find] the means to marry free, believing women, then [he may marry] from those whom your right hands possess of believing slave girls. And Allah is most knowing about your faith. You [believers] are of one another. So marry them with the permission of their people and give them their due compensation according to what is acceptable. [They should be] chaste, neither [of] those who commit unlawful intercourse randomly nor those who take [secret] lovers. But once they are sheltered in marriage, if they should commit adultery, then for them is half the punishment for free [unmarried] women. This [allowance] is for him among you who fears sin, but to be patient is better for you. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
Allah wants to make clear to you [the lawful from the unlawful] and guide you to the [good] practices of those before you and to accept your repentance. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.
Allah wants to accept your repentance, but those who follow [their] passions want you to digress [into] a great deviation.
And Allah wants to lighten for you [your difficulties]; and mankind was created weak.
