Translation — Tafsir
Word Meanings:
- نُزُلًا (Nuzulan): A prepared provision, hospitality, or a welcoming gift for a guest.
- مِّنْ غَفُورٍ رَّحِيمٍ (Min Ghafoorin Raheem): From the One who is Forgiving (of sins) and Merciful (to His servants).
Explanation of the Verse:
This verse is the concluding part of a larger passage in which the angels greet the believers who remain steadfast on the path of Allah. Here, Allah describes the ultimate reward for His righteous servants: a hospitality that is prepared and presented to them as an honor — a reception worthy of a noble guest. This "nuzul" is not merely food or drink; it encompasses every delight, comfort, and joy that the soul desires and the eyes find pleasure in. It is a gift that comes directly from the One who is *Ghafoor* (Oft-Forgiving) and *Raheem* (Most Merciful). The mention of these two divine attributes is profoundly meaningful: the forgiveness of Allah clears the believer's past sins, while His mercy showers them with blessings beyond measure. Thus, the believer enters Paradise not because of their deeds alone, but through the grace and mercy of their Lord, who has forgiven their shortcomings and welcomed them with open arms.
A Call to Reflection and Action:
Dear reader, pause and reflect on the beauty of this divine promise. The Creator of the heavens and the earth — the One who is free from all need — chooses to call His believing servants His "guests." He prepares for them a hospitality that no human mind can fully comprehend. This is not a reward earned by perfection, but a gift granted by forgiveness and mercy. So, do not despair of your sins, no matter how many they are. Turn to Allah in sincere repentance, hold firm to His guidance, and strive to please Him. For the One who welcomes His servants with such generosity in Paradise is the same One who says in His Book: "Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful'" (Az-Zumar 39:53). Let this verse ignite hope in your heart and motivate you to draw closer to Him — for His mercy encompasses everything, and His hospitality in the Hereafter is the ultimate success.
