Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

  • Al-Suwar (الصور): The Trumpet (the Horn) that will be blown by the Angel Israfil, signaling the end of the world and the resurrection.
  • Al-Ghayb (الغيب): That which is hidden from human perception and senses.
  • Al-Shahadah (الشهادة): That which is witnessed and perceived by human senses.
  • Al-Hakim (الحكيم): The All-Wise, who places everything in its perfect and proper position.
  • Al-Khabir (الخبير): The All-Aware, who knows the innermost realities of all matters, both apparent and hidden.

Tafsir (Explanation):

This verse opens a window into the majesty of Allah and His absolute power, inviting every believer to reflect deeply and stand in awe of their Creator.

Allah begins by declaring that He alone created the heavens and the earth with truth — not in play or without purpose. Every star, every galaxy, every mountain and every ocean was brought into existence for a profound and just purpose, reflecting the wisdom of their Maker. This creation is not random; it is a manifestation of divine justice and wisdom.

Then comes a scene that should make every heart tremble with certainty: the Day when Allah says "Be" — and it is. This is the reality of the Day of Resurrection. When Allah commands the dead to rise from their graves, they will rise instantly, without delay, at His single word. His command is not like the command of any king or ruler — it is immediate, absolute, and without any need for tools or time. This is the ultimate demonstration that Allah's word is the truth — a promise that will undoubtedly come to pass.

The verse then directs our attention to the moment when the Trumpet is blown. On that Day, all earthly kingship, all thrones, all authority of every ruler and empire will vanish completely. The dominion that belongs to Allah alone — which was always His, though people forgot — will become unmistakably evident. No one will dare claim any power or authority except Him.

Allah then describes Himself as the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. Nothing escapes His knowledge — not the secrets hidden in the depths of hearts, not the whispers of souls, not the deeds done in the darkness of night, and not the actions performed openly before all. Every hidden intention and every visible act is recorded in His perfect knowledge.

Finally, He is Al-Hakim (the All-Wise) — everything He does is precisely placed, with perfect wisdom — and Al-Khabir (the All-Aware) — He knows the innermost realities of all things, the outward and the inward, the apparent and the concealed.

A Da'wah Reflection:

Dear reader, contemplate this verse and let it transform your heart. The One who created the heavens and the earth with truth is the same One who will resurrect you from your grave. His word is truth — and His promise of Paradise for the believers is as certain as His promise of accountability for the wrongdoers.

This verse calls you to a life of purpose. If Allah created everything with truth, then your life too must be built upon truth — truth in your worship, truth in your dealings, truth in your intentions. The Day of the Trumpet is coming; no soul can escape it. But for those who believe and do righteous deeds, that Day will be a Day of joy and eternal bliss.

So turn to Allah now, before that Day arrives. Submit to His wisdom, trust in His knowledge, and live your life knowing that He sees all — the hidden and the apparent. He is Al-Hakim, so His commands are always for your good. He is Al-Khabir, so He knows exactly what your soul needs. Let this certainty fill your heart with peace, and let it guide you to a life of obedience, sincerity, and hope in His infinite mercy.

📜 Verse 71-75 — Al-An'am

Say, "Shall we invoke instead of Allah that which neither benefits us nor harms us and be turned back on our heels after Allah has guided us? [We would then be] like one whom the devils enticed [to wander] upon the earth confused, [while] he has companions inviting him to guidance, [calling], 'Come to us.' " Say, "Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the [only] guidance; and we have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds.
And to establish prayer and fear Him." And it is He to whom you will be gathered.
And it is He who created the heavens and earth in truth. And the day He says, "Be," and it is, His word is the truth. And His is the dominion [on] the Day the Horn is blown. [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed; and He is the Wise, the Acquainted.
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham said to his father Azar, "Do you take idols as deities? Indeed, I see you and your people to be in manifest error."
And thus did We show Abraham the realm of the heavens and the earth that he would be among the certain [in faith]
