Surah At-Tawbah — Verse 22

Tafsir (Explanation):

This verse describes the ultimate destiny of the believers who have attained the pleasure of their Lord: they will remain in the Gardens of Paradise eternally, with no termination to their blissful residence. The phrase "forever" is emphasized to remove any doubt, for the term "dwelling" might otherwise suggest a long but finite stay. Their eternity in Paradise is the direct fruit of their sincere faith and righteous deeds performed in this worldly life—deeds rooted in obedience to Allah’s commands and avoidance of His prohibitions, done with pure devotion to Him alone.

The verse then concludes with a profound reassurance: "Indeed, Allah has with Him a great reward."
