- يَسْتَحْسِرُونَ (yastaḥsirūn): They do not grow weary, tired, or exhausted.
Tafsir (Explanation):
To Allah alone belongs the absolute dominion and ownership of everything in the heavens and the earth—every created being, every angel, every human, every jinn, and every creature that exists. Nothing lies outside His sovereignty, and no one shares even an atom’s weight of His kingship.
As for those who are nearest to Him—the angels—they are the purest and most honored of His creation. Yet, despite their lofty rank and immense power, they never show the slightest arrogance or pride toward worshipping Him. They do not consider themselves too great to bow, to prostrate, to glorify, or to obey. Neither do they ever feel fatigue, boredom, or exhaustion in their devotion. Their worship is continuous, effortless, and filled with love and reverence.
This verse carries a profound lesson for humanity: if the highest and most noble of Allah’s creation—the angels—humbly submit to Him without any trace of pride or weariness, then how could any human being, who is far weaker and more dependent, dare to be arrogant in worshiping Him? How could anyone claim divinity or partnership with Allah when they themselves are His servants and possessions?
Reflect, dear reader, on the beauty of this reality: the entire universe—from the highest heavens to the deepest earth—belongs to Allah. Every star that shines, every bird that flies, every wave that crashes, and every breath you take is under His command. And the angels, who have witnessed His majesty firsthand, never tire of glorifying Him. They find their ultimate joy and purpose in worship.
So, let this be an invitation to you: do not let pride or laziness keep you from your Lord. Worship Him with sincerity, for He is the One who owns you and everything around you. The angels—who are far greater than us in strength and rank—humbly submit, so what excuse do we have? Come to your Creator with a humble heart, and you will find peace, purpose, and endless reward. Indeed, the worship of Allah is not a burden—it is a privilege, a source of light, and the very reason for which you were created.
