Word Meanings:

(Yusabbiḥūn): They glorify and declare Allah free from all imperfections, praising Him and remembering Him.
(Al-Layla wan-Nahār): Night and day, meaning continuously, without interruption.
(Lā yafturūn): They do not weaken, tire, or slacken. The root *fatara* means to become still or calm after intense activity, i.e., to lose energy or stop.

Explanation of the Verse:

In this noble verse, Allah describes the angels and the righteous among His creation who are engaged in the constant glorification of their Lord. They praise Him and declare His perfection throughout the night and the day, without any pause, fatigue, or boredom. Their worship is not limited by time or circumstance—it is an unceasing, eternal act of devotion that flows from their very nature.

The verse highlights a profound truth: the entire universe is in a state of continuous submission and glorification of its Creator. The angels, who are pure and obedient beings, never grow weary of this worship. Unlike human beings, who may feel tired or distracted in their acts of devotion, these noble creatures are sustained by Allah’s grace to persist in His remembrance without any lapse.

This description serves as a powerful reminder for us as believers. If the angels—who are sinless and ever-obedient—never cease to glorify Allah, then how much more should we, who are in constant need of His mercy and forgiveness, strive to remember Him in our daily lives? Our worship may be interrupted by sleep, work, or worldly concerns, but we are encouraged to maintain a connection with Allah through regular prayers, supplication, and remembrance, seeking His pleasure in every moment we have.

The verse also instills hope and motivation: if Allah has granted His angels the ability to worship Him tirelessly, He can also grant us the strength and sincerity to increase our devotion. Let us, therefore, make a sincere effort to fill our days and nights with the remembrance of Allah, knowing that He appreciates even the smallest acts of worship from His servants and rewards them abundantly.

Da‘wah Reflection:

This verse invites us to reflect on the beauty of constant connection with Allah. Imagine a life where your heart is always aware of your Creator—where your tongue is moist with His praise, and your actions are guided by His pleasure. This is not an unattainable ideal; it is a goal we can approach step by step. Start by establishing your five daily prayers, then add moments of *dhikr* (remembrance) in your morning and evening, and soon you will find a sweetness in worship that surpasses all worldly joys. The angels never tire of glorifying Allah—let us strive to emulate their devotion, even in our imperfect human way, and trust that Allah will accept our efforts and elevate our ranks.

📜 Verse 18-22 — Al-Anbiya

Rather, We dash the truth upon falsehood, and it destroys it, and thereupon it departs. And for you is destruction from that which you describe.
To Him belongs whoever is in the heavens and the earth. And those near Him are not prevented by arrogance from His worship, nor do they tire.
They exalt [Him] night and day [and] do not slacken.
Or have men taken for themselves gods from the earth who resurrect [the dead]?
Had there been within the heavens and earth gods besides Allah, they both would have been ruined. So exalted is Allah, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe.
