Tafsir (Explanation):
On the Day when this great cosmic event unfolds, you — O observer — will look upon the mountains and assume they are solid, immovable, and firmly rooted in the earth. Your eyes will deceive you into thinking they are static, for their immense size and grandeur make it impossible for the naked eye to perceive their motion. Yet, in reality, they are gliding and racing across the face of the earth with the speed and ease of clouds driven by the wind. This is not a random or chaotic movement; it is the precise, deliberate handiwork of Allah — the One who has perfected every single thing He created, leaving nothing flawed or without purpose. He alone commands the mountains to move, and they obey instantly. Indeed, Allah is fully aware of all that you do — whether hidden in your hearts or visible in your actions — and nothing escapes His knowledge. He will call you to account for every deed, rewarding the righteous and recompensing the wrongdoers with perfect justice.
A Da'wah Reflection:
This verse invites you to pause and reflect on the absolute power and mastery of Allah. The very mountains that seem so permanent and unshakeable — symbols of stability in our world — will one day be set in motion by His command, like clouds drifting across the sky. If Allah can move the mightiest of His creations with such ease, then how much more capable is He of transforming your life, softening your heart, and guiding your steps? Nothing is too difficult for Him. And since He is *Khabīr* — fully aware of everything you do — know that your sincere efforts to draw closer to Him, your quiet prayers, and your acts of kindness are never lost. He sees them all and will reward you beyond your imagination. Let this truth fill you with hope and motivate you to live each day with purpose, knowing that your Creator is both all-powerful and all-knowing, and that His mercy encompasses all who turn to Him.
