Explanation of the Verse:
In this blessed verse, Allah responds to His Prophet Musa (Moses, peace be upon him) after Musa had prayed to his Lord, asking Him to send his brother Harun (Aaron) with him as a helper and supporter in his mission to confront Pharaoh. Allah, the Most Merciful, answers this heartfelt supplication with a promise of divine support and victory.
Allah says: "We will strengthen your arm with your brother" — meaning, We will make you strong and firm through your brother Harun, who will stand by your side as a prophet and messenger. This is a beautiful demonstration of how Allah answers the prayers of His righteous servants and grants them the support they need to carry out His commands.
Then Allah adds: "And We will grant you both authority" — that is, We will give you both a compelling proof, a clear argument, and divine power that will make your message undeniable. This authority is not merely physical power; it is the authority of truth, backed by miracles and signs that leave no room for doubt.
"Then they will not reach you" — meaning, Pharaoh and his people will not be able to harm you or overcome you with evil. Allah will protect you from their plots and schemes, no matter how powerful they may seem.
"With Our signs, you and those who follow you will be the victors." This is a glorious promise of triumph — not just for Musa and Harun, but for all who believe in them and follow their message. The victory is guaranteed because it is tied to Allah's signs and His divine will. When Allah promises victory, no force on earth can stand against it.
A Call to Reflection and Faith:
This verse carries a profound lesson for every believer: when you place your trust in Allah and call upon Him with sincerity, He will never abandon you. He will strengthen you with what you need, grant you authority and clarity, and protect you from those who seek to harm you. The victory of truth over falsehood is a divine promise — it may be delayed, but it is never denied.
So, dear believer, take heart from this verse. Whatever challenges you face in calling people to goodness, in standing for justice, or in living your faith — remember that Allah is with you. He will send you the support you need, whether it is in the form of righteous companions, inner strength, or divine protection. And in the end, the believers are always the victors, even if the world seems against them for a time. Let this certainty fill your heart with peace and courage, and never doubt that Allah's promise is true.
