Translation — Tafsir
Word Meanings:
- يُوحَىٰ (Yuha): That which is revealed and sent down.
- خَبِيرًا (Khabiran): All-Aware, fully acquainted with the minutest details of everything.
Explanation of the Verse:
O Prophet, follow steadfastly what is revealed to you from your Lord — the Qur'an and the Sunnah — and act upon it with sincerity and precision. Do not be swayed by the words of those who oppose the truth, nor by their attempts to divert you from the path of guidance. Your duty is clear: to receive the revelation and to implement it fully in your life and in the lives of your followers.
This command carries a profound reassurance: Allah is Ever-Aware of all that you do. Nothing escapes His knowledge — not a single deed, word, or even a hidden intention in the heart. He sees your efforts in spreading His message, your patience in the face of hardship, and your obedience to His commands. And He is equally aware of the deeds of those who oppose you, those who plot and scheme against the truth.
This awareness is not merely observational — it is the basis of perfect justice. Every action, whether apparent or concealed, will be met with its due recompense. The believer finds comfort in this, knowing that their sacrifices are never lost or overlooked. The opponent finds warning, knowing that their schemes are fully exposed before the One who sees all.
A Call to Reflection:
Dear reader, this verse invites you to anchor your life upon divine revelation rather than upon fleeting opinions or changing circumstances. When you follow what Allah has revealed, you align yourself with the eternal truth that never fails. And when you realize that Allah is fully aware of your deeds, your heart becomes filled with both hope and reverence — hope that your good deeds, however small, are cherished by Him, and reverence that keeps you from straying into what displeases Him.
This is the beauty of Islam: it connects your daily actions to the watchful care of your Creator. Every prayer you offer, every kindness you extend, every struggle you endure for the sake of truth — all of it is known to Allah, and He never wastes the reward of those who do good. So hold firmly to His guidance, and let this awareness transform your heart into one that is ever mindful, ever grateful, and ever hopeful of His mercy.
