  • Al-Jannah (الْجَنَّةَ): Paradise — the eternal abode of bliss and reward.

Explanation of the Verse:

After this righteous man was martyred by his own people for his unwavering faith in Allah, the divine command was given to him: "Enter Paradise." This was not merely an allowance but a great honor and reward for his steadfastness and sincerity. When he entered Paradise and witnessed its unimaginable beauty, eternal bliss, and the generous rewards prepared for the believers, he was overcome with a profound compassion for his people. He exclaimed with heartfelt longing: "Oh, would that my people knew!" — meaning, if only they could see what I now see, if only they knew the forgiveness, mercy, and honor that Allah has bestowed upon me for believing in Him and following His messengers, they would surely have believed as I believed and attained the same success. His wish was not born of anger or revenge against those who killed him, but of pure mercy and sincere concern for their guidance — a beautiful testament to the noble character of true believers, who wish goodness even for those who wronged them.

A Da'wah Reflection:

This verse carries a profound lesson for every believer. Notice how this man, even in the moment of his ultimate triumph and reward, did not forget his people. His heart yearned for their salvation, not their punishment. This is the essence of Islamic brotherhood and compassion — to wish guidance and goodness for others, even when they have harmed us. Dear reader, imagine the joy of Paradise and the honor that awaits those who remain steadfast in their faith. This man's story invites you to reflect: do you long for the guidance of your loved ones as he did? Do you strive to be a means of guidance for others, just as he wished? The doors of Paradise are open, and the path is clear — believe in Allah, follow His messengers, and call others to this truth with mercy and love. Let this verse inspire you to be a source of light for those around you, so that they too may taste the sweetness of faith and the reward that never ends.
