Surah Sad — Verse 65

Tafsir (Explanation):

O Messenger, say clearly to your people — especially to the disbelievers of Makkah — “I am only a warner.” My role is not to force you, nor to bring you worldly gain, but to sincerely caution you against the punishment of Allah that may descend upon you due to your disbelief and rejection of His messengers. I am not a soothsayer, nor a madman, nor one who speaks from his own desire — I simply convey the truth.

Then declare the core message that lies at the heart of everything: there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone. He is Al-Wahid — the One who is unique in His essence, His names, His attributes, and His actions. No one shares His divinity, His lordship, or His right to be worshipped. And He is Al-Qahhar — the Subduer who has conquered everything that exists; all creation is humbled before His majesty, and every creature submits to His will, whether willingly or unwillingly.

This verse beautifully combines two essential truths: the warning of Allah’s punishment (which motivates fear and caution) and the declaration of His perfect oneness and absolute power (which inspires love, reverence, and sincere worship).
