Translation Transliteration — An-Nisa

وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ عُدْوَانًا وَظُلْمًا فَسَوْفَ نُصْلِيهِ نَارًا ۚ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرًا ۝٣٠

Wa mai yaf`al zaalika `udwaananw wa zulman fasawfa nusleehi Naaraa; wa kaana zaalika `alal laahi yaseeraa

Translation — Tafsir

Word Meanings:

ʿudwānan (عُدْوَانًا): Transgression, exceeding the limits set by Allah, and violating His commands.
ẓulman (ظُلْمًا): Injustice, placing something in other than its rightful place, and wronging others.
nuṣlīhi (نُصْلِيهِ): We will make him enter and burn in the Fire.
yasīran (يَسِيرًا): Easy, effortless, and simple for Allah to do.

Tafsir (Explanation):

Whoever commits what Allah has forbidden—such as consuming wealth unlawfully through theft, fraud, or usurpation, or transgressing against others by killing or harming them—while doing so deliberately and knowingly, not out of ignorance or forgetfulness, and with the intent to overstep the boundaries of the divine law and oppress others, then Allah will surely make him enter a mighty Fire on the Day of Judgment. He will suffer its intense heat and endure its painful torment. And that—punishing the wrongdoers—is easy for Allah, for nothing on earth or in the heavens can ever escape His power, and He is fully capable of exacting justice without any difficulty.

Daʿwah Reflection:

Dear reader, this verse is a profound reminder of Allah’s perfect justice and His absolute power. He is not hasty in punishment, giving you time to repent and return to Him, but His justice is certain for those who persist in transgression and oppression. Yet, the door of mercy is wide open before you: if you have fallen into any of these sins, know that sincere repentance wipes away what came before, and Allah loves those who turn back to Him. Do not let the sweetness of forbidden gains deceive you, for they will become a burning regret. Choose the path of righteousness and contentment, and you will find peace in this life and salvation in the next. Allah’s mercy is greater than your sins, but His justice is also real—so hasten to His forgiveness before the day when no soul will avail another.

📜 Verse 28-32 — An-Nisa

28يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَن يُخَفِّفَ عَنكُمْ ۚ وَخُلِقَ الْإِنسَانُ ضَعِيفًا

And Allah wants to lighten for you [your difficulties]; and mankind was created weak.

29يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَأْكُلُوا أَمْوَالَكُم بَيْنَكُم بِالْبَاطِلِ إِلَّا أَن تَكُونَ تِجَارَةً عَن تَرَاضٍ مِّنكُمْ ۚ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيمًا

O you who have believed, do not consume one another's wealth unjustly but only [in lawful] business by mutual consent. And do not kill yourselves [or one another]. Indeed, Allah is to you ever Merciful.

30وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ عُدْوَانًا وَظُلْمًا فَسَوْفَ نُصْلِيهِ نَارًا ۚ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرًا

And whoever does that in aggression and injustice - then We will drive him into a Fire. And that, for Allah, is [always] easy.

31إِن تَجْتَنِبُوا كَبَائِرَ مَا تُنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ نُكَفِّرْ عَنكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَنُدْخِلْكُم مُّدْخَلًا كَرِيمًا

If you avoid the major sins which you are forbidden, We will remove from you your lesser sins and admit you to a noble entrance [into Paradise].

32وَلَا تَتَمَنَّوْا مَا فَضَّلَ اللَّهُ بِهِ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ ۚ لِّلرِّجَالِ نَصِيبٌ مِّمَّا اكْتَسَبُوا ۖ وَلِلنِّسَاءِ نَصِيبٌ مِّمَّا اكْتَسَبْنَ ۚ وَاسْأَلُوا اللَّهَ مِن فَضْلِهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمًا

And do not wish for that by which Allah has made some of you exceed others. For men is a share of what they have earned, and for women is a share of what they have earned. And ask Allah of his bounty. Indeed Allah is ever, of all things, Knowing.
