Explanation of the Verse:
This noble verse reveals the profound purpose behind the sending of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ—a purpose that encompasses faith, devotion, and the continuous remembrance of Allah. Allah states that He sent His Messenger as a witness over his nation, conveying the divine message clearly, bringing glad tidings of Paradise to those who obey, and warning of punishment to those who disobey. The ultimate goal of this mission is that you, O believers, may:
- Believe in Allah and His Messenger — with sincere faith that transforms your hearts and guides your actions, acknowledging Allah's oneness and following the Prophet's ﷺ guidance.
- Support and strengthen the Messenger — by defending his honor, spreading his message, and upholding his Sunnah. This means standing firm in the cause of Islam, aiding the religion of Allah with your wealth, words, and deeds.
- Revere and honor him — by giving him the respect and dignity he deserves as the final Messenger of Allah, following his commands, avoiding what he prohibited, and treating his noble character with the highest esteem.
- Glorify Allah — declaring His perfection and praising Him in the early morning and at the end of the day. This continuous remembrance keeps the heart connected to Allah at all times, filling the believer's day with spiritual light from dawn until evening.
