Surah Al-An'am — Verse 105

Tafsir (Explanation):

Just as We have presented to the polytheists clear proofs and overwhelming evidence regarding the Oneness of Allah, prophethood, and the Hereafter, We continue to diversify and explain the signs in the Quran in various ways — through promises, warnings, parables, and admonitions — so that the truth becomes evident to every seeker of truth.

Yet, despite this clarity, the disbelievers — out of stubbornness and arrogance — will falsely claim: "You have studied the scriptures of the earlier people and brought this Quran from them." They say this not because they believe it, but as a means to reject the truth and turn others away from it.

However, the wisdom behind this diversification of signs is twofold: first, to expose the falsehood of those who choose to reject, and second, to make the truth crystal clear for a people who possess knowledge and insight — the believers who accept the truth with sincerity and follow it with devotion. These are the ones who benefit from the Quran, for their hearts are open to guidance, and their minds are free from prejudice.

This verse carries a profound lesson for every reader: the Quran is not the product of human learning or borrowed knowledge — it is the divine revelation from the Lord of the worlds. Its consistent message, its unmatched eloquence, and its profound wisdom testify that it could never have been authored by a man who never learned to read or write. Rather, it is a mercy from Allah to guide humanity out of darkness into light.

Dear reader, let your heart be among those who "know" — who recognize the truth when they see it, who accept it with humility, and who follow it with action. For Allah has made His signs clear so that no one has an excuse before Him, and He has opened the door of guidance to all who sincerely seek it. Do not be like those who saw the signs yet turned away; rather, be among those who see, reflect, and submit — for that is the path to eternal success.
