Tafsir (Explanation):
When the anger of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) subsided and his heart calmed — after his brother Aaron had excused himself and clarified the matter of the calf-worshippers — Moses picked up the Tablets that he had cast down in a moment of intense displeasure. These Tablets were not merely stones; they carried within them a profound treasure: guidance that leads hearts out of darkness and error, and mercy that shields souls from punishment and despair. This blessing, however, was not for everyone indiscriminately. It was specifically for those who stand in awe of their Lord, who fear His justice, and who live their lives with conscious reverence for His commands. Such people are the ones who truly benefit from the divine message — they find in it a light for their path and a mercy that encompasses their affairs.

The Qur'an was not sent to be a burden; it is a mercy and a guide for every heart that humbles itself before its Creator. When you approach the Book of Allah with fear, love, and sincerity, it opens doors of wisdom and tranquility that no other source can provide. Let this be an invitation to you, dear reader: open the Qur'an with a reverent heart, and you will find in it exactly what your soul needs — guidance for every step and mercy for every wound.

Would You destroy us for what the foolish among us have done? This is not but Your trial by which You send astray whom You will and guide whom You will. You are our Protector, so forgive us and have mercy upon us; and You are the best of forgivers.
And decree for us in this world [that which is] good and [also] in the Hereafter; indeed, we have turned back to You." [Allah] said, "My punishment - I afflict with it whom I will, but My mercy encompasses all things." So I will decree it [especially] for those who fear Me and give zakah and those who believe in Our verses -
